the shape :
\nWe produce dome labels in all different shapes. The cheapest option is the circle or oval because these shapes use less polyurethane than square or rectangular and require less time to produce because the urethane flows more easily into the round shape. We can also do custom shapes and even scripted domes such as an “S” shaped dome. Custom shapes require additional setup time and more production time which increases cost. Shapes with a minimum corner radius of 0.1\u2033 (0.2\u2033 diameter) are necessary to avoid additional handling fees.<\/p>\n

the film :
\nFilm is the base layer on which we print your graphic. We stock many film options including: white, silver, brushed silver, clear, matte silver, holographic and reflective to quickly produce the majority of domed labels. The most common and least expensive option is white, while holographic and reflective are slightly more expensive.<\/p>\n

printing :
\nThe majority of our posters are digitally printed in full color. If you have a metallic or transparent label, you may want to consider adding white ink to get a non-metallic or opaque color. Another option is not to print. For example, we make millions of clear domes on clear film with clear adhesive to put on top of printed paper labels on demand off site.<\/p>\n

White ink printing:
\nOften necessary when dome decals include clear or metallic graphics. Typically, a label that has a metallic printing surface will only allow a metallic version of the colors. For example, orange on metal will create a metallic gold look. However, ours can print white ink behind the orange to create a bright orange instead of gold. Likewise, with clear labels, if you don’t print white ink before color, you’ll end up with a dull, translucent color instead of a vibrant, opaque color. Our ability to print white allows freedom

Curved surfaces:
\nDomed decals can be applied to many, but not all, curved surfaces. For anything larger than a very slight bend, we recommend the more flexible urethane test. The amount of curve that is acceptable depends on the size of the decal and the amount of adhesive that is in contact with the mounting surface. For example, an inch-diameter circle might attach well to a cup of coffee, but would not stick to a pen. A tall rectangular dome that wraps around a curve will adhere better than a square one with less surface area.<\/p>\n
